This review is from: CatEye Omni 5 Bicycle Rear Safety Light TL-LD155-R (Sports) I have the older LD150 model on my commuter bike that I've had for years and never had a problem with it staying attached to my bike or working. I hope to have the same success with this newer model. This newer model is brighter, which I would expect since it is the next model up. The button operation and mounting is the same as the previous model. I bought this one knowing that the mount is the same as the LD150 so they are interchangeable. I do like that you can turn the lights up 90 degrees so they can be mounted horizontally or vertically. 0 The only thing I don't really care for is the flimsy threaded strap used to attach it to the bike. I feel like it'll break or the treads will strip to easily. I really like this light and wound have given it 5 Stars if not for the strap. I came with a belt clip (in addition to the post clamp) which my wife used to clip it to the back of her seat bag. The belt clip attached to the back of the light instead of the post attachment you see in the picture. 0 I thought the light I got was defective because it wouldn't turn on. Then I discovered the trick. Press and HOLD the button to turn it on (and off). Quick press of the button to toggle it through its three different modes. (It pays to read the directions). I like the three light modes. My favorite is "back and forth" blinking. I think it's the most visible. The reason for only four stars is I wish it was more visible in daylight. In bright daylight it's hard to tell it's on. Otherwise, from overcast to dark, its a great light. I like it enough to buy two more, one for me and one for my child. |
