UPDATE***** 0 I have been using this light on average twice a week for the past two months. I modified the helmet strap to be more secure and mount on top of the helmet verses the front. I typically keep the battery in my Camelbak but you could easily helmet mount the battery if you felt so inclined. I have had zero issues with this light so far. The battery last for my entire ride time(freshly charged the day of the ride). It puts out an amazing amount of light for the price. I have had some friends buy a few after my initial purchase. I would say most people would only need one light mounted on their helmet to successfully night ride. A second isn't necessary but would be nice to have as a backup or a low powered bar mounted light. My one and only word of warning is to be careful with the chargers and the plugs. Some of them fit pretty tight and if you pull by the cord you might get some separation of the the outer housing. Just make sure you pull by the plug ends and not the cord and you will be fine. Original Review***** So far I've been quite happy with this light. I bought my first version of this light from DX. It worked fine but shipping from china took a long time. I purchased the second version of this light from amazon. Due to the same price and much faster shipping. The only difference was that the DX light was 4.2v and the amazon is 8.4v(which is better IMO). I have not had any issue with the light running out of power on a 2 - 2.5 hour ride. I just make sure it is fully charged during the day before I go ride. I typically run the light on medium. It is more than enough light for the trails and speed I ride. I typically bring it down to low on longer climbs or standing around. At this price it is hard to beat. I bought this thinking it was disposable, but time will tell how long this light works. One tip is to be careful charging lithium-ion batteries. Make sure you have the correct charge r(voltage and amps) for the battery and monitor the battery while its charging.
