It is very bright and has different modes, including a really noticeable flashing mode to warn motorists that you are coming. It is next to impossible for someone to miss unless they are texting and totally not watching the road. I bought this unit thinking with the dual LEDs it would be that much brighter and noticeable. Aside from the fact that it is considerably heavier and bulkier that then nano shot (and almost twice the price) you don't get twice the bang for your dollar. The flashing mode on this unit is far less noticeable than on the regular nanoshot. Bottom line, I kept it but I use my regular nanoshot most of the time and use this one as a backup in case I forget to charge my smaller unit.
