3.0 out of 5 stars A little disappointed, April 9, 2013

I have the smaller Cateye nanoshot and I really like it. It is very bright and has different modes, including a really noticeable flashing mode to warn motorists that you are coming. It is next to impossible for someone to miss unless they are texting and totally not watching the road. I bought this unit thinking with the dual LEDs it would be that much brighter and noticeable. Aside from the fact that it is considerably heavier and bulkier that then nano shot (and almost twice the price) you don't get twice the bang for your dollar. The flashing mode on this unit is far less noticeable than on the regular nanoshot. Bottom line, I kept it but I use my regular nanoshot most of the time and use this one as a backup in case I forget to charge my smaller unit. I recommend for the money the single LED Nanoshot by Cateye highly.

I purchased this light for one reason: to be seen by cars in traffic at night. Riding home at dusk I passed a driver who rolled down her window and yelled in disbelief, "what kind of a bike light IS that?" Mission Accomplished.

PROS:
- Bright in city traffic at night. Drivers take notice
- Solid construction
- Easy setup and attachment

CONS:
- USB cable is too short (look about 10 cm long)
- Slow charge time (8h. Seriously)
- No USB wall adapter included
- No helmet mount
- Limited settings (low, high, and blink between low and high)

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Headlight for High Speed Riding, January 10, 2013

Good enough for group rides in the early morning before sunrise. There are three modes low beam, bright high beam, and flashing. Button on back used to change modes and shows battery charge status, green charged, yellow weak, and red. Way bright on high and perfect on low. Iluminates the road ahead fine and also the peripheral areas, so you can see other riders in your group, etc. on the sides. Charging takes several hours, but it last for a number of hour long rides.
