(Misc.) I have had the CycBuzz for a couple of weeks now and had at least 5 30 mile night rides now with it. So far I have charged it once and it is still going strong. The lasers really are quite visible when it is DARK. They aren't all that visible when the sun is still up. Every ride I have had multiple people inquiring about it and they have all really like it. 0 As for the things I would change, first only the part that plugs into the wall wart is USB the end connecting to the light is the old round style charger not USB. I would really like to not have to keep track of yet another cable. A mini or preferably micro USB connection would be perfect. Also for the charging port, it would be somewhat reassuring if there was a rubber cover to help prevent water or grime from entering. I have done one ride in a bit of light rain with it and it held up fine but I could see it being a potential problem. The next issue is the mounting bracket. It works fine bu t it isn't the easiest to put on. Also, it uses one bolt to tighten and hold it all together including the angle adjustment of the light. I have a bit of a problem with the angle of the light changing after I hit a bump. I am afraid to tighten the bolt too much because I don't want to crack my carbon frame. All that being said I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it. (Misc.) The bike light is good. As it is larger than the average bike light it gives off more light and is therefore more visible to motorists approaching from behind. I have used the first flashing setting, because I think that motorists will notice it the best. 0 The light was easy to fit and so far has remained securely fitted to my bike. I don't think that the lasers made any difference to the distance that motorists gave me as they overtook me on my bike. Safe drivers will always give cyclists a wide berth and irresponsible drivers will always drive too close, regardless of the number of lights, reflective clothing and so on. I'm not sure if a rechargeable light is an advantage or not. With my other bike lights I use rechargeable batteries and have a couple of spare batteries in my bag in case the batteries run out of power whilst I'm out on the road. If the rechargeable light runs out of power then that isn't an option. (Misc.) i would highly recommend this product as a rear light for cycling. 0 the brightness of this is fantastic comparing it to the exposure flare the lasers are clear as day and give you a clear lane to the side of you. mounting is easy and takes seconds to set up on your bike.two buttons are easy to use and not cramped together so you'll not accidentally switch one on or one off. waterproof is brilliant been out on many wet rides and never faulted also the light is very robust been off road on trials with it and is perfectly fine if your looking for a light which is cheap robust and bright you've found it |
