It came with the Fenix BT-20 bike light, the charger, 4 16340 batteries and 2 Fenix ARB-L2 18650 batteries. That's about all I need for a bike light. 0 The Fenix BT20 combined with the Fenix ARB-L2 18650 batteries produced very close to the advertised brightness. I've seen cheaper bike lights claiming 1000+ lumens that don't even come close to the BT-20. The beam pattern is excellent for a single LED bike light. It actually throws additional light in front of the bike, which is pretty useful when using it as a commuter light. It has a lower cutoff compared to typical round headlights, which allows you to raise the light a bit higher without blinding pedestrians and oncoming traffic. It has five modes: low, medium, high, turbo, and strobe. I use the strobe the most during daytime rides specially on the street. The flashing pattern is unique. Instead of a constant flash, it flashe s slowly 3 times then followed by a strobe-like (fast) flash. Really catches attention of drivers, riders, and pedestrians. At night, I use medium; which is adequate on the street. The low is a little bit too dim at night. The high and turbo, I use on night trail rides or if I'm riding on the street late at night with no on coming traffic. After a while, the light gets pretty warm and the BT-20 steps down to high. This light has the Fenix quality all over it. The finish is flawless and the operation is very reliable. I've ridden on heavy pouring rain for an hour without any issues. The Fenix ARB-L218659 batteries last a long time with the BT-20. I usually only have to charge it once a week. The Nitecore charger that came with this combo reliably charges the batteries in around 3 hours. I haven't charged anything other than these Fenix 18650 batteries in this charger. So far so good. The light looks bulky on my bike and the cables are an awkward length. It's probably dififcult to manufacture perfect cable lengths for all bikes, but it's a point none the less for those who appreciate clean lines. I would actually prefer the short cable to be a couple inches longer so I could wrap it around my bars for a cleaner look. The battery box rattles, a lot. Other riders will hear you clunking around. Perhaps the manufacturer can insert a rubber gasket to return the empty space between the case and the batteries. Nice white light as advertised as well as all the mounting and charging accessories. 0 I would note for those with small diameter tubes on their bike (old steel road bikes) that the Velcro pouch doesn't cinch down tight enough when you lace the straps straight across and that I had to lace mine making an X in order to take up slack and get it tight to the frame. |
