I have ordered these in both Green and Red, because for about a buck with free shipping, why not? Green is very bright and lights up well. Red, not so much. The build quality is cheap chromed plastic, but they included batteries in mine and the product screwed perfectly onto the valve stem of my bicycle. They also do not activate until they are moved, as advertised. 0 When starting and stopping, they blink. When going over bumps, they blink. When cycling at a constant velocity on flat ground, they do not blink. I would suspect that this is because the centrifugal force simulates standing still and they aren't properly registering that they need to blink. I don't really know, I'm not a physicist. Would they be fun for your daughter? Yes. Are they fun for adults? I hope so, adults should still have fun with blinky things. Are they effective at increasing visibility in nighttime traffic from the side view as I had hoped? Pe rhaps the green ones are kinda effective, but in general not so much. If you want these as a toy, go for it. If you want low cost extra visibility for your bicycle, you should buy this other product also made by SODIAL: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009VWF2EC/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 These bad boys are getting four stars because it is incredible that it's possible to ship anything for .28 (product included) from Hong Kong! And they actually do do what they said in the description. They don't get 5 because they're not going to substantively increase the safety of your bicycle. Lucky that i heard the air leak, slowed down and was able to control the motorcycle. 0 I don't if it's the weight or if the length added to Stems length but it pulled the stem out of the tyre. I was startled and so was the Tow truck driver/mechanic. when i told this to my bike friends they heard similar stories from other motorcycle riders and heard not to use it on motorcycles/bikes that you use on main roads. Maybe good for Bikes, better yet good for children's bikes. My 5 year old loves it. |
